Hi, I'm Jesús Pardillo — a Ph.D. in Computer Science, an Information Systems Engineer, and the person who builds and runs Unwatched.
Unwatched started as a fix for my own problem: my YouTube subscriptions and playlists kept piling up hours of video I would never have time to watch. The interesting ideas were in there, but extracting them meant watching everything at normal speed — or giving up.
So I built a tool that reads instead of watches. Paste a YouTube URL and get the key points in seconds, or let it work in the background: videos from your Unwatched playlist and your subscribed channels get summarized automatically and delivered to your Inbox. The mission is simple — give you back the hours, keep the ideas.
Unwatched is an independent product: no investors, no growth team, no dark patterns. Just one engineer who wants the tool to be worth paying for on its own merits.
For each video, Unwatched fetches the publicly available transcript and generates a structured summary using third-party AI language models (Google Gemini and/or DeepSeek). Summaries are derivative works intended for your personal reference — they point you back to the videos worth watching in full.
Your transcripts, summaries, and account data are never used to train AI models.
We read your YouTube playlists and subscriptions to summarize videos automatically. We never post or modify anything on your YouTube account without your explicit action.
